Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18, 1980) is an American actress. She started her acting career starring in stage production and attending Tisch School of Arts in New York. In 2001, she made her Broadway debut as Becky Thatcher on The Adventure of Tom Sawyer and starred in the upcoming revival of Broadway The Crucible the following year. In 2004, she had a role in the movie Spartan and received praise for her performance at Gracie's Choice.

Early life and family
