Larry Dee Scott (October 12, 1938 - March 8, 2014), dubbed "The Legend" and "The Golden Boy," is a professional bodybuilder of IFBB America. She won the inaugural prize of Mr. Olympia in 1965 and defended the crown on the 1966 Mr. Olympia contest before retiring.

Larry Dee Scott was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Thea Scott and engineer Wayne Scott. He started practicing at the age of 16 and won the competition. Idaho in 1959 at the age of 20 years. After moving to California, he immediately won the California Tuan (1960), Pacific Coaster (1961), Mr. America (1962), and Mr. Universe (1964). When Joe Weider created the title of Mr. Olympia IFBB, Scott won the first two contests in 1965 and 1966. Despite retiring after his victory at the 1966 Olympics, he made a brief comeback in 1979 before retiring from the competition in 1980. He studied electronics in California Air College, and is known as a devout Mormon. He married Rachel Scott (nÃÆ' à © e Ichikawa). The Scotts has five children: Susan's daughter, and son Erin, Nathan, Derek, and Michael. Derek died in a motorcycle accident in 1992, and Michael died in 1993.

He played a minor role in the 1964 movie Muscle Beach Party. When he began weight training in 1956, his narrow shoulders were a particular weak point. He trained with Vince Gironda, a famous bodybuilder at the time, and became famous for the development of his arms, especially his impressive and unusually long biceps. He connected his biceps with an exercise called "Preacher Curl", created by Gironda, later known as "Scott Curl" because of his relationship with Scott.
Scott was also a popular physical model in the early to mid-1960s, working for Bruce photographer from Los Angeles, Don Whitman (from Western Photography Guild), and Pat Milo. Milo introduced Scott to a larger audience and helped him hone his posing persona and photography: "one-sided child". Larry regularly appears in all of Joe Weider's bodybuilding magazines, including Mr. America and Muscle Builder , also appear in Demi Gods, Muscleboy, Muscle Go-Go and The Young Physique . As an IFBB member, he writes exclusively for Joe Weider's publications.
From 1960 to his first retirement in 1966, Scott was the top bodybuilding superstar. Bodybuilding magazines soon began to use their clean and all-American images. Its popularity is known as "Larry Fever" and culminated in the first Mr. Olympia competition in 1965, winning a crown of "gems" studded against Harold Poole. Scott defended his title and won the title of Mr. Olympia 1966, receiving a $ 1,000 prize.
News of his 28-year-old retirement shocked the sport, but he prioritized his second marriage and felt he had done everything he could in competitive bodybuilding after two Olympic victories.
