The 2012 Iron Trail Motors Shoot-Out is held from December 13-16 at the Range Recreation and Civic Center in Eveleth, Minnesota as part of the 2012-13 World Curling Tour. Both male and female events are held in a round robin format. The wallet for a man event is USD $ 21,500, and the wallet for the women's show is USD $ 12,500. In the men's final, Tyler George won his second title at Mesabi Curl with victory over last year's champion Todd Birr, ending the game 5-1 in five games. In the women's final, Jessie Kaufman of Alberta won her first title by beating last year's runner-up Allison Pottinger 5-2.
The Iron Trail Motors Shoot-Out is the last event in a season where teams are able to earn qualifying points for the US National Curling Championship 2013 on the US Order of Merit system, which places the top two teams in the Order of Merit.
